Parthemores in Poland

We have continued to witness the militancy of the Poznan Parking Police.  They don't give you a ticket, they just give you "the boot."  They are orange -- how many can you spot in this photo?

Even though you can probably only see three, there are actually nine (!) cars that got busted. See that "B" under the 2nd car's rear tire...he's covering up the word "BUS." D'oh! We previously saw a parking cop "unbooting" someone. His car had about 27 of the orange boots in the trunk. Really.

This furthers our resolve to never, ever drive in the "old town" if at all possible. Parking + random one way streets + trams sharing the road + horrendous traffic = super giant headache. Plus its just as easy to walk. However, I do reserve the right to change my mind once winter comes. Perhaps we'll just carry a hacksaw and plasma cutter in the "road side emergencies" kit.
